.340WBY not coming clean? suggestions?

I understand wanting to get the thing perfectly clean, but...

How's it shoot now? It could be you are expending a ton of time and energy on a non-problem. Just a thought.

Even though I have had good results with Wipe-Out (and WO Accelerator) it is not the end-all, do-all bore cleaner. I have a rifle that would appear to be completely free of bore fouling after a couple of soaks in Wipe-Out resulted in only white foam and white patches but........... would produce rather blue patches when subsequently treated with BoreTech Eliminator with a nickle jag. No brushes were used at all.

Eliminator seems to be one of the best tell-tale cleaners available.

I have bought a couple of used guns from people I know that swear the barrel is history. I had one gun it took me a week of using wipeout over night and now the gun shoots lights out. I would agree with the rest of the folks who say get rid of the bronze brush. I haven't used them in years and really dont see a purpose of using them if you do regular maintenance on your gun. Just my 2 cents.

good luck. I hope the gun shoots lights out for ya.
