I also have some pumice left over from polishing wood stocks that could be added to the JB.
 
I'm thinking the 5 grove barrel will be smother than the 3 grove. As long as there wasn't any chatter while boring it should be rather smooth. I've had muzzle loading barrels freshened out and they were always smoother than the factory barrels when done and shoot a lot better also.
 
Loaded up 25 virgin pieces of Rem 35 Whelen brass to fire form when the rifle comes home.
Load is 65.5gr CFE 223 with fed 215 primers. Should be interesting to see what it will do.
