35 Whelen

Scott, those groups are very encouraging to me. I can't wait to be able to post some targets like that with my 35 Whelen. I hope in the next month to do that but, it might have to wait for 2 things.
1). I still do not know how to post photographs on the forum
2). The Walleye are really starting to bite not 35 minutes from my home and I do love to catch and eat the odd walleye or 2

Blessings,
dan

What? A rod beats a rifle? This just isn't right, Dan. Something has to be done about that!

He could try baiting and shooting the walleye although I recommend hand grenades or dynamite - much more effective.

RiverRider,

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Work up slowly.

Mike, I do have to take a little time to wash hooks and Nettie really enjoys getting out for a few hours of fishing.
Oh yeah I did get my rifle from your basement and it is now at my house  .
I was wondering if you have decided to switch to south paw yet or is going to take a couple of more visits

Blessings,
Dan

I can't imagine detracting from my strong right arm without divine intervention.

Hey, I'm thinking about passing up a couple of range days to try and go catch a couple (OK, 50 to 75) kokanee this weekend. Maybe get Nolan into his first fish.

Kokanee can be great eating, that's for certain. They aren't terribly difficult o catch. However, the strain on the line with those little beasts isn't quite the same as the shove you feel when you torch off a good round and hear the satisfying "thwack" of the bullet striking the thoracic cavity.

Those kinda of sounds are the ones I wished I could bottle!

Fishing is pretty fun too though. Need to do more of it. The kids really enjoy it too, so that makes it better yet for me.
