357Sig Screaming Fast load

My buddy wants to test out my 357Sig vs his 7.62x25 in a penetration and velocity test. I got some 95gr Sierra FMJ's and longshot powder but not any data for this combo. I use Longshot for all of my 357sig loading and would like to avoid buying another lb of powder for this single application. I contacted Hodgdon and they don't have any 95gr data for this caliber.

Or, maybe a different route. Does anybody have a Sierra Reloading manual that can look to see if they have any 95gr data for 357 sig? I'd appreciate the help. I found some data for v-N350 but V powder is pretty hard to get around here not to mention $30/lb. Any power pistol, longshot, or something that would put velocity up to 1600+fps?

Thanks Pop! My account had something go wrong with it and the admin just got to my new log in.

A question about the info. If I was interested in the Power Pistol load am I reading correct that 11.6gr would be a near max load at @1785fps? This looks to be about right for other info I have with this powder. With the way all those numbers crunch together it gets hard to read! I think I will start at about 10.5 and work up. Am I reading that correct?

Will do! Just going to find the fastest load I can get worked up for now and then we are going to wait until all the snow melts and gets a bit warmer.
We are thinking hard barriers would be neat to see. Some thicker gauges of sheet metal, we are going to have access to a huge piece of bullet resistant glass, hopefully we can get access to some expired vests. I currently have some 124gr loads worked up to 1488fps and will see how they compare to the light bullet.

Got the load worked up and shot them today just for pressure signs and function in the G31.
Started at 10.8 grains of Power Pistol with the Sierra 95gr FMJ. Went by .2 grain increments up to 11.6 grains. 1.140" length.

All of them shot fine and the 11.4 - 11.6 loads were fine also but showed just a tad bit more of the glock "rectangle" on the primer than the others. I think for the small amount of rounds that we will actually be firing for this they should be good. All of them did seem to be louder than my 124 grain loads but recoil was less. Once I get a warmer cloudy day I will pull out the chrony. Hope to see 1750ish!
