Thanks for all the positive comments. I walked into a great deal on these , figured I could build up a long range steel banging load.
What I did learn is the rifle is too light for this load , but I’ll make do.
 
I take it Elk in your neighborhood are hiding in concrete emplacements these days? :) Actually 12 ga slugs I shoot are 385 grains... There are heavier. Lightfield makes a 3.5 inch 12 ga. slug that weighs 600 grains and is advertised a 1890 fps. Comparatively they have the ballistics of a school bus going off a cliff... Yours are waay more accurate though I'll bet :) But you are crazy... :) Enjoy (y) CL
