Just yearning for a high bc 416 for my bee.

Me too. I hate to see Nosler let Barnes out do them. They already have one. reflex264

Barnes? Which one? their best TSX is less than .400 BC.

This is what they list for their 400gr TSX...DO NOT BELIEVE IT. NOT CORRECT!!!

Sectional Density: .330
Ballistic Coefficient: .546
Notes:

Made of solid copper (no separate core or jacket).

Heat treated for extra toughness.

Hollow cavity in the nose.

Barnes recommends initially seating bullets .050" off the lands. Best accuracy will be found from .030" to .070" depending on the rifle.

Three rings in bullet designed to allow higher velocities and less bore fouling.

I wish they would bring out a 325 TTSX!

The highest is Lost River ballistics J36 but I do not know enough about them to use them.

Well they had one. I just found out that the XLC 41690 was discontinued and the TSX is one of their over zealous rating of BC products. I never shot the J36 but know of some that have (not in the .416s though) that spoke favorably of them. I still want a 325gr AccuBond as well as a 400gr AccuBond. The 325gr would perfect for the taylor and both would work in the Rigby. I have been pretty happy with the 400gr Partition but feel like a AccuBond would make for some fun long range sledge hammer work. reflex264

With deer season a couple of months away I thought I would revive this since I am going to hunt with my .416 Rigby a few times this year. At least until I kill a deer. I loaded ammo for it a few days ago. Going to try the now discontinued 400gr interbond bullet. Since last year I was able to get my hands on a M8-3 leupold and topped it off. Shoots great. Don't shoot it from a tree stand though. reflex264

You go!!!!!

Your just as nuts as I am! I am seriously thinking about a .577NE now. Go ahead and say it....................

As of right now these are all in the rotation this year. I try to hunt with at least 10 of my rifles every year. I think the 3 on teh right will be OK. The Rigby will be with a soft point though. reflex264
