How about Nosler 200gn JHP with a 28.5gn of H110?

Way to Light a Bullet i think ! - 300 gr jacketed or 300-330 gr cast with 20-21 Grs H110 is the ticket in the 44 mag !
JMHO

Cheers :) RJ

Not very impressive at 1625 FPS! I'd like to give em a run in my 444, but according to Sierra because of the seating depth they would have to be loaded one at a time?

They will cycle fine. I seat to 444 spec and crimp with the Lee FCD. Accuracy is very good with them.

I'm gonna load a few up and see how they shoot. You think they'll crimp ok with the Redding die I normally use?

I would think so? Never tried crimping with anything other than the FCD. Looking forward to seeing how they do. Are you gonna stuff one into the jugs?[/quote

I don't have any jugs as of now, but I'd like to see how they hold up at 444 velocities.

They will work just fine. before the Lee FCD I used a lyman seating crimping die. Not an issue.

BTW the lyman M-expanding die works wonders!

In my handguns I use cast for everything, My loads for SRH 44 mag with 9.5" barrel I have a mold that can either cast 295 grain Hollow Points or 300 grain Flat Nose, both are gas checked. Cast Flat Nose have good penetration on game from any angle, the large metplat on the Flat Nose still disrupts a lot of tissue. On the Hollow Point I run the same BHN (12) as Buffalo Bores Deer Grenade 44 Mag. +P , these are my Deer Load. Here is my 44 mag and 357 mag with cast bullets for each. The 357 is 185 HP and 190 FN

Agree. I really like the look of a nice, stainless steel revolver!

Or a blued revolver, come to think of it...

300 grain Anyslug with 20 gr H110 or Win 296. Done deal.

NOPE ! You need 21 Grs H110 or W296 and a 300 HORN 300 gr XTR or a cast slug 300-330 grs in MY OPINION ! I have short a few of these rounds out of assorted 44 mags - like 5000 + LOL

Cheers :) RJ
