Those were shot with the Buffalo Bore 230gr JHP which is loaded with an XTP. It did a great job. Pretty much duplicates the damage I see from my 44 Magnums.

Well we have already started eating that doe. Excellent meat.
I scoped the 45 Super since the last deer. 2.5" groups at 100 yards but expecting better. A work in progress.

I am in the process of converting a G21 gen 4 to use 45 Super here in Alaska any suggestions.
I plan on using the G21 for Bear Protection !

Absolutely. Good thing is that you can fire 45 ACP through it with no changes! In fact that is my Super's diet 97% of the time.

If you want the gun to last the best way is to run a good comp. The KKM G21H1C barrel and comp set with a 22lbs spring works perfectly. The comp keeps it locked for a few miliseconds longer slowing down the slide. Stops the increased slide speed from battering the frame. Buffalo Bores 255 grain Super load is the best I found for that type job. Very accurate as well. In my scoped super it shot 2.5" groups at 100 yards. If you hand load it the cast bullets in the 240-255 range will get you plenty of penetration. The Lehigh solid copper 190 wil also doa great job on bear skulls. Nice bear by the way. I see there is a Glock on it. Would like to hear the story on that bear.

8.8 = 1085 FPS
9.0 = 1100 FPS

* Excellent performance but decided on 8.5 load as my 45 Super Load for Alaska Trail in G21.

Bear was harvest by Sgt Cox in 2018 with G20 on Fort Richardson AK . He and 2 friends were recovering a bow shot moose that required tracking the next day . It was on his moose and was a self defense kill . The Brown Bear was a smaller one in weight but aggressive. 2 shots required of Hardcast .

Some friendly advice since you are running without a comp. First off the load you are running looks like it will do the job. I would check the frame for battering anyway occaisionally. That load looks like it shouldn't give a problem as it falls in between 45 ACP +P and 45 Super. It never hurts to keep an eye on things.

Helluva buck and with an iron sighted semiauto! Sorry if I missed it somewhere, details on the gun? Very impressive accuracy at 50 yards too.
