458 SOCOM 300 TTSX

So, my son in law bought a 458 SOCOM AR15 for deer and bear hunting in some thickets where quick action and close shots are the norm..But he neglected to research ammo costs for this thing, so he requested that I work up a load with the 300 gr TTSX...I've found some data scattered around the web, but unknown sources and "My buddy Billy Bob said...." makes me a little "gun shy"..The powders I have on hand, and I think will do well in it, are: Reloder 7, H110, and 4198, I'm open to trying any powder suggested...Hopefully someone will have some information to get me started. Is the 458 SOCOM in QL?

Yes, its interesting and will definitely pack a wallop on just about anything he cares to shoot with it..I have been rolling around the 45 Raptor for something in my future...Basically a 460 S&W mag with a rebated rim for .308 bolts in AR 10's..In fact it uses 460 S&W dies and load data. And it needs a spacer in a standard AR10 mag for the shorter OAL of the 45R , but the spacer is something easily fabricated at home.
