54 Cal Advancements

So, this is my 2nd most favorite way to hunt other than archery. That being said, has there been any advancements with this caliber in regards to bullets? I use Buffalo bullets currently. We can not use sabots.

I shoot a open sight, hawken, brass loading flask, etc..

Similar to the Buffalo Bullet, Hornady came out with what they call the "PA Conical". Same basic premise as the Buffalo Bullet, though, and I'm not sure if they make a 54-cal version or not...?

Hornady does offer a Great plains bullet in the 54 cal, 425 grains, i would also look at prbullets out of Canada, they have a couple offerings in the ultimate conical. They are great talk too, there web address is prbullets.com. Look them over and good luck!
