This is an interesting cartridge, a 250 Savage blown out and necked up to .264 caliber. I have an old Ruger M77 22-250 that needs rebarreled badly, I was thinking about making it a 6.5 Creedmoor, what do you fellas say? Anyone got one?

My hunting partner just bought one. It shoots fine, though I really can't see it doing much that a 260 won't do. It is interesting in that it permits loading for another cartridge, however.

I have one, and a Leupy VX3 4.5-14x40 for it, both sitting new in their boxes. I should ship it to Mike and let him play with it.

Yeah I really don't need a 6.5 Creedmore, I would rather get a 264 Win Magnum to cover the .264 niche in my gun cabinet. Maybe I will make that M77 a 358 WCF or something like that on the opposite end of the spectrum. I have about as much use for a 358 (or a 6.5 Creedmore for that matter) as another 44 REM Mag barrel for my T/C Contender if the truth be known.

Need? What is this "need" you speak of? Sounds like something to deny us new rifles. :)

That 358 Win in a properly set up rifle is a great cartridge. That would be a sweet set up in an M77 if you have enough magazine length. Scotty
