I'll have to go check my load book, but most of the time I stuck right around Nosler's data for a few different bullets. I might have needed a little extra or less powder to attain book speeds, but that rifle has shot just about everything well.the IMR4350 was the way i was leaning so i will give that a try to keep things simple - how many grains have you found works the best ?
Nice stutzen rifle you have there. I love them & have two... one an old 1936 Mannlicher Schoenauer 6.5x54MSch the other a 1997 Steyr Mannlicher 'Classic' 6.5x55SEMy load so don’t use it but work up to what’s good in your gun. In my Ruger No 1 6.5x55 IMR 4350 gets me 2640 fps with a 140 Partition using 44 grains. 43.5 grains gives me the same velocity with the Ballistic tip or AccuBond. My gun is the international version with a short barrel so I’m sure a 22 inch barrel would produce better velocity than I can get….but this fella couldn’t tell it was a slower loadView attachment 24327
Lefty I have the same rifle but in stainless. Going to give your load a try. Only shot factory ammo in it so far.My load so don’t use it but work up to what’s good in your gun. I am using VV N160 in mine with 140 gr bullets with great results as well. The VV powders have been more available than most and sometimes even cheaperi have loaded 6.5x55 swedish with 140gr Partition using IMR4320 for years and of course now the IMR4320 has been discontinued. i have stockpiled some but it is going to run out and i am looking for some recommendations on another powder - any thoughts?
Nice classics.I use IMR4350 in my 6.5x55SE by the way but I'm using the Hornady 123gn SST bullet... reckon it would work with a 140gn bullet but possibly IMR 4831 would work better with the heavier bullet.

Cool stutzen very similar to mine, but a year or two earlier. Your Mod. M looks like it's the 'Luxus' model. The difference between your & my rifle is in the magazine type, bolt & safety. Superb rifles. Really great slick bolts on the Mannlicher rifles. Hold the trigger & tip the rifle downward & the bolt slides straight into battery. QD mounts are great & zero perfectly each time they're removed/replaced. I load 6.5x55SE for friends who also use the Hornady 123gn SST bullet. (43gns) Viht. N550 works great with the bullet. For the heavier 140gn bullet, Viht. N560 works well. Here is my 6.5x55: Special Edition LH Steyr Model M FS w/ QD mounts

I haven't shot it as yet. Looking forward to developing a load for it and stalking deer and moose in the woods with it!
