WOW! Jeff, that is beautiful buddy. It actually doesn't look as heavy as I remember your others either! HA!

Very nice though. Very nice!

Thanks Scott this stock will be the one going on the 300 Norma I just had him base coat it it will. have a woodland pattern on it with a darker. and lighter color pattern. the bottom metal was made by John barker as was my 300 Norma action. 775 for the action and 210 for the bottom metal sans magazine is what he charges. Bruce. Scott did the fitting bead blasting and bottom metal inletting , impeccable work bottom metal was bedded and there isn't a visible seem anywhere on the rifle except for the barrel channel. work was done extremely well ans extremely fast, this guy also builds some high end custom knives that are simply amazing. Bruce is out of Florence Montana pm me if you have any questions about having him build you a custom rifle.

It looks like you mean business with that rifle, Jeff.
Your more than welcome to use it.for your antelope Mike if you.want to, barrel is getting into the winter of its career but still shoots like a demon. will be using it in a match this weekend in Douglas wyoming.

Good luck in the match. I'll keep that in mind, and if I'm able to work out all the logistics, I'll be in contact.

also have a 6.5x47 lapua which is a little lighter but just as effective. they are both loaded with bergers hope thats not a problem

Jeff, there's always a first time for everything. I've loaded a lot of Bergers for others and I work up loads with Bergers on a weekly basis, but I don't have a single box of Bergers on my shelves. I'm not against them, I just haven't needed them at this point.

I am looking forward to your 300 Norma Jeff! That is going to be very cool I think.

What contour barrel is on your 6.5x284? Just wondering

Nice rifle... all it needs is a purple McSwirley! :)
Purple??? Nah. I don't think that will match the cerakote on the New one. was going to treat this one but the barrel is getting close to replacing so I will wait and do them both.

Its a heavy varmint from lilja Scott and has been a fantastic barrel so far its the only one to do the three for three at a g and it has done it twice. the Norma has a Krieger with a little heavier profile still waiting on the pt&g reamer that was in stock and sent a month ago"go gauge showed up but no reamer." trust me on this Scott if you don't have all the parts together to build a rifle you will be waiting for something at some point.

Great rifle! I was also wondering what contour the barrel was, got the question answered before I could ask! Again, Great looking rifle! I'm sure it shoots as good as it looks as well! I am pretty sure my next rifle is going to be a 6.5 something...There are so many good choices I can't make up my mind. I'm looking really hard at the 6.5-284, 6.5x47 Lapua, and .260 Rem. . . I just can't make up my mind.

Jeff,

Very nice looking package. She should have no trouble getting to 1k with surgical precision.

Thanks Jim I shot the Douglas wyoming match with it on Sunday and it worked well. I didn't win it but held my own against some great shooters. lots of Schmidt&benders, premiers, and us optics out there along with surgeon accuracy international and custom rifles. lots of boys who knew what they were doing. the course was awesome every position you can think of was implemented. Target size was 1.5 moa so no meatballs on that course. I did do well on the bonus targets which were @ 965,1005,1120,and 1250, I hit three out of four "i think I hit the fourth one also but you couldn't see any movement at that distance so we agreed on a miss until he goes up there and looks at the target. format was six shots per station one shot per target and a four minute time limit. I did manage to get a 350 yard hit offhand also. all in all a good learning experience with a bunch of great guys and shooters. I had a guy on my squad that was seventy years old the guy was an animal, there is about three miles of hiking involved up and down hill and that man didn't even flinch. the most that impressed me with him was the fact be assed up two stations in a row took a break came back crushed us on the next station. one thing I have learned doing this match shooting is a miss if you dwell on it will always lead to another miss. the mental aspect is huge at these things and I treat each shot as a single match, forget the miss and hit the next one.

Man, that does sound like a ton of fun Jeff. Great work. It is always good to be surrounded by great shooters! Man, we need to get you to take some pictures of the events. You need a media collector!

300, They all work well I have a 6.5x47 lapua as well and love it extremely accurate and any bullet you want to use will fit in the magazine in a short action. if you build a 284 make sure you use a long action unless you build on a single shot. I used my 300 Norma magazine with the lips bent in for the 6.5-284 and it worked great and held six rounds. I also have a 300 win magazine from accuracy international and that works well unmodified. which ever you build you will be happy, I would recommend spending the money on lapua brass with whatever you pick.

I know Scott one of the guys I shot with had an accuracy international rifle with a hendsolt scope, titanium can on it and had a pair of the swarovski range finding binoculars. I did beat him but his equipment was top tier all the way. I think I may be unloading a couple of nightforces to fund a schmidt&bender. the nightforce. is awesome but the schmidt is awesome plus 20 percent.

I know what you mean. The S&B's are really something. It is hard to believe the MC decided to put them on all the M40's.. They are doing something right. They are some horses of scopes. 34mm tunes and just OXEN strong.

I like the awesome plus 20%!! That is a good one Jeff.
