64 grain BSB Availability

I live in Bend. Where can I purchase some of the new bonded solid base .224 caliber bullets?

Also, do you have any loading data on line for either the 60 grain Partition or the BSB that is loaded to NATO chamber pressure?

I also have a 22-250 Ackley Improved that Frank Glenn built that Id like to try both bullets in. Ive got alot of coyotes out here in Tumalo.

Andy, I think they were a special run for someone.
I know Nosler isn't currently marketing the BSB, but I sure would like to see this little bullet in their regular lineup.

If I ever see them in the proshop again, you guys better be quick or I will buy them all!

I called the pro shop phone number and asked if they were available and was told that the bonded solid base 224 would be available as a standard component in 2013. They have sold them in the past in 100 round plastic packages.

I think this is the bullet Winchester uses in their ZQ3313 ammo that was chosen by the FBI.

Does anyone else think it is odd that we have not had a response from the Nosler moderators?

Try Shooters Pro Shop. The 224 64gr BSB is only available as over runs and sold as seconds. Availability is limited.
This bullet works well on coyotes, this one was shot with a 22-250 loaded with the 64 gr BSB, MV is 3372 fps and the shot distance was 40 yds.

That is about twice the exit wound I get using a 75 grain BTHP from my 556 NATO AR15.

Is your 22-250 a 1-14 twist?

Where would you start, and what powder for a 22-250 Improved?

That is really a cryin shame I must say! I'd have LOVED to have run em over some TAC in my AR for deer season!!

Keep in mind that the 22-250 has a bit more speed than a 223 Rem/5.56mm so it is going to be more destructive at close range.
Yes, my M700 VLS 22-250 has a 1:14 twist.
With your 22-250 Improved, I would use 22-250 Max loads as starting loads. I have had good luck with Varget and RL 15.
There is load data in the Nosler RG #6 for the 22-250 AI.
