Other powders may get the speed up some, especially with these slippery absolute Hammers, but better than I expected with Lever when I started playing around. It's shown itself to be a very versatile powder. Worked it up and passed it to my brother in law to shoot for groups.

Excellent!

Have you shot any game with any Hammers yet? They are amazing.
just a 200lb hog with the 143 HH from a 280 Ackley. Hit in the ribs and exited the off shoulder. He just bulldozed with his nose in the mud in a circle for a few seconds and dropped about 10' from where he was shot. 2 of the petals stopped in the hide about 3" away from the shank's exit. Didn't gut it, but rolling it over the insides sounded like a washing machine. They are 3150 at the muzzle from RS Magnum.

Nice!

I have only shot coyotes with my 22-250 and 243, in several cases they were DRT. I just loaded some 90g Absolute Hammers for my 25-06 to use on hogs.

They're fantastic bullets. I also used the 143 in a 280AI for my mule deer last year. He dropped at the shot. It was a frontal heart shot and the bullet exited out on the inside of one of the back legs. All the petals were somewhere in the intestines.

No meat was wasted at all, except the heart of course.
