Looking to load up some 95gr partitions. 7th edition of the Nosler book, list IMR 7828 41.5 - 45.5 gr as loads for the 95 gr bullets. Do I need to adjust the powder charge if I am using 7828 SSC?

the same load data works with either powder . the ssc powder will be much easier to work with in the 243 case . you might even be able to use more ssc powder since it's not so bulky . this was the problem I had using IMR7828 , I was very compressed trying to get enough in the case . this was before the ssc was available .

I don’t have experience with this combination but if load recipes aren’t available for the SSC, I would personally just start a grain or so below max for the standard cut. Some are more conservative than I am and might start even lower, but my experience is that the “big” 6mm cartridges like to really run with light bullets.

Thanks. If someone has a dozen 95 gr BT to share, let me know.

I am trying 90 BT, 95 PT and would like to compare to 95 BT.

Which ever shots beat wins

I can’t see the Partition ever winning that contest but for deer I wouldn’t look any farther than them.

Try 90 gr. Accubonds also! Great bullet.

7828ssc works well. You should be able to fit more in the case. I know I've gone above 45.5gr...

That was always a favorite combo. 7828SSC and a 95 BT or 100 Partition has been good for 3000-3100 in a few 243’s.

I happen to have a pile of those 100gr NPTs on hand and a pile of 7828SSC to boot. Might have to try a stiff load in the 6x47 Lapua. Right now my 105gr Berger HVLD runs like a tack driver at 3090 on Varget.
