7mm rem mag/160 Accubond

I haven't used Imr 4831 for awhile in my 7mm rem mag but would say 61-65gr should find you a load (caution 65 over the nolser max so work up slowly in .5's).

My 160AB load is 66gr of IMR 7828(again over nosler publshed max), 215GMM and RP brass. RL22 is another great 7mag powder, I use it the most with 140-160gr bullets, the above load being the only exception at the moment.

BTW, I liken the AB to BT very pleasing bullet to work with, hasn't posed any real troubles finding a good load in a variety of cartridges.

Good luck!!

That's my bullet of choice for Az elk. My recipe is 61.0gr of IMR4831, Remington 9 1/2M primers. It's the most accurate out of my 7mm Rem Mag M77.

Worked hard with this caliber before Elk season this year. RL22 was a good powder, however H1000 was the best in both my Browning Medallion and son's Browning BBR.

Best load was 72.5 grains H1000. Best three shot group at 100 yards was .156" in 30 degree weather.

One shot kill of 6X6 Bull for me and one shot kill by my son on his 6X6.

I love H1000 in my Model 70 with the 160 grain AccuBond. I have a load with 70 grains of H1000 with RP brass and CCI250 primer. I have literally shot a few groups that were 5 shots all touching at 100 yards. Killed a nice cow last December with my rifle and the 160 grain AccuBond. Didn't recover a single bullet with a 378 yard shot. Hit lots of bone and I was very impressed with its ability to hold together and penetrate fully while creating devastating power.

I have also had great results with 160 partitions and 62 grains of IMR 4831. Not quite as good with the AccuBond in my rifle though.

I am currently trying IMR 7828 for a change of pace.
