I currently hunt WT deer with the 150 Partition. This bullet with 64 grns of IMR 4831 has produced outstanding, lightning strike results. The only drawback has been the deformation of the tips. Because of this, I'm considering switching to the AB, as i have had bad results out of the BT with this caliber/velocity combination. Do the AB's use the same data and lengths as the BT's? Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Also, has anyone experienced undesireable results with this bullet...fragmentation, poor penetration through bone?

xring 7mag, its going to be hard 2 beat your current load, the Partition was made to punch threw bone, as are OTHER premium bullets, nosler makes the AccuBond in 140''s &160''s both super bullets but there not a Partition.... yes load data will be the same 4 the same weight bullet thats correct but seating lengths will differ. ive shot whitetail deer with a 270 winchester 140 grain AccuBond fantastic bullet. where it beats the Partition is in balistic coificent, try some it''s that simple, loaded my cousin up some 160 accubonds 4 his 7mm rem mag #1b 62.1 grs imr 4831 rem case federal 215 mag primer, he shot his 8 pointer at 60 yards bang flop!!! same load 1st 3 shots before season shot into the size of his pinky finger nail. barrel was green as brand NEW... the AccuBond will not fragment from what iv''e experenced, hope i help , regards jjmp

I've had exactly the same dilemma after shoooting 150 gr partitions through the 7mmRemMag for years. Switched to BT's because of the tip deformation and hoping for a bit better extended range trajectory. Went back to the partitions after the BT's shredded a lot of what would have been useable meat on two antelope. Have loaded the 160gr AB's for two seasons now and after six big game animals have found them to be as advertised--Partition performance with BT trajectory.

Hey guys, i've seen your replies and appreciate you taking the time to answer. I too have came to the conclusion of try 'em and see. I definitely feel more relaxed about them after hearing of a 60 yard successful shot. to be honest, that is the distance that i've been worried about...not the 150 yard plus. I just watched a new Barnes Bullets video in which they compared several top shelf bullets for penetration through their gelatin type medium. the AB performed almost exactly the same as a Partition. I've really got my hopes up. if this bullet even resembles my Partition load, i'm sure it will be a winner. thanx again.
