7mm RUM

Does anyone load for the 7mm RUM? I picked up a M700 and was looking for some load suggestions. Thinking of Retumbo and the 160gr AB.

Boomer, I think JD did some work on the 7mm RUM with 160 AB's and Retumbo. I imagine he'll be along shortly to give you his details.

Congratulations on the 7mm RUM. I really like this one!

Load is the 160 gr AB with 94.0 grs Retumbo.
COL 3.640" yielded an average MV of 3339 fps, ES 36 and SD 16
Accuracy was just under MOA out to 200 yds. I think a better scope would have yielded better results.

what is the "barrelife expentancy" on the 7mmRUM?. Here I am thinking about with being careful, to never heat-up with more than 3 shots when setting/checking the scope and then to let cool and clean...and from here on shots are only taken on hunts.
I have often thought of the 7mmRUM as a potential caliber one day.

I like a little heavier bullet in my 7mm STW so I use the 175 Partition, with H-1000. I also have some RL-25 to try at a later date.

I like the 175 Sierra HPBT Matchking in my 7RUM with RE25. I haven't shot it in a long time though.
