Another 7 wsm question; Can handloaded ammo be loaded close to touching in the throat and still work thru the magazine? I don't have a rifle in that caliber .... yet.

That is going to depend solely on the rifle and the length of the bullet you are using. Some have more generous box space than others for seating bullets out longer.

I will use long action if I were you. The 7WSM has a very short neck. Loading a heavy 175 or 180 grain for WSM requires you to seat the bullet much deeper into the case if you want it to fit the magazine, thereby reducing powder capacity. I load this cartridge for my switch barrel Target rifle and I like it a lot.
