Hey guy's, I finally got to take out the 7mm wsm with the original stock today and see what would happen. I shot 5 different loads and not one of them was even good for what this rifle should be shooting. I have a bunch of the 168 grain berger bullets that I plan on sticking with for the gun because they were the bullets that I was getting .408 inch groups at 100 yards with in using the old stock. All bullets were using winchester brass that were all trimmed and the primer holes are the same and they are annealed. What should I do to improve these loads? Keep messing with the COL and the powder charge, something with the stock itself, I did free float it but it still might be touching the barrel a little bit so I will check that and I will make sure the bolts are all tight as well.

These groups were shot off of a caldwell tack driver shooting bag in the front and a shooting bag in the back so the gun was very sturdy.

The black part of the target is 1 inch and the lines surrounding the target are spaced at 1/2 inch apart.

(the bullet holes in surrounded by black are different bullets that don't go with this group)

I just checked the screws on the bottom of the stock and 2 out of the 3 were not very tight and I just checked the barrel to see if the stock was touching it, and it was about halfway down the barrel. So I sanded down the stock and now I can put a dollar bill folded up two times all the way down without touching anything. So hopefully this fixed the problem.
