85gr Solid Base

Here’s for older guys. I was given a box of these awhile back so today I tried them out. I used Hybrid 100V and it gave some amazing velocity for an 15” barrel on my 243 Win CFP. Will work around 43grs as shown on the sheet.

I was getting addicted to the 100 gr Solid Base for my 6mm Rem in the 1980's... then Nosler replaced it with the Ballistic Tip. Whoo boy... I started getting Grumpy.

Later they improved the Ballistic Tip bullets AND a number of years ago Nosler produced a run of Solid Base bullets again! I got some 100 gr 6mm's and some 165 gr 30 cal as well. They shot just fine, but... I think that was likely the last production run for them. Still have a few. I think my son shot one of his bears with the 165 Solid Base from that run, maybe a whitetail buck or two as well.
