I may have missed it but have the 8mm e-tips actually become available and if so has anyone tried them in a 8mm mag? I see they aren't in stock.
Thanks
Greg

Greg,

The 8mm 180 gr E-Tip p/n is 59265, and is listed as coming soon.
I will try to get a ship date for you.

I have them on order. When they arrive, I do intend to load them to see how they work in my 325 WSM. The Partition hits moose and elk hard, and I have no doubt that the E-Tip will perform equally well.

I'm thinking the 8mm mag would be a good platform for the e-tips. I use the 180 TSX in my 325 WSM. It's my designated hog gun.

Sounds like it will be a thumper, Greg. As I say, I know the performance of the PT on moose and elk is pretty devastating in the 325. You should get great velocity out of the 180 in that cartridge.

Some have reported poor accuracy with the .338, 200 gr E-Tip is that because they did not seat the bullets deeper in the case? How much deeper seating is recommended with the 8mm and .338 E-Tip bullets

I have had great accuracy with the E-Tips .100" off the lands. The .338 cal 200 gr E-Tip shot .7 in my 338 RUM. Penetration is impressive too.
