A bye gone era

Lol, thanks TD there is actually a guy here in Maine that works with a author and finances some of his books, that has been trying for years to get me to do interviews so he could write up some of this foolishness I have gotten up to! I would get a some fame and a little $$$. He would make any
Monies if it ever sold. It has been an interesting ride, right place at the right times sorta story.
Gotta start young with all of it.......1963 early days of Dad selling Snow travelers as they were called back then!107_0798.jpg 18hp Onan engine, reverse. Deluxe 500 model had electric start. Went anywhere! But only 20mph. We had custom racks made up that Allowed two men to stand on the back as well!

Earl it wouldn't be Steven King would it? My wife is a big fan of his books and have seen his home and took pictures of it. Supposedly he wasn't home at the time but there is a figure of someone standing in one of the upstairs windows watching us take pictures.

No not SK, nothing that big.....
Here is Dad 1959 we think with the first snowmobile ever seen around here the original Polaris "Snow traveler" may be 1960, IMAGE00137.jpgMum is 90 now and memory isn't what it used to be. Back in those days, Anytime I ever left on the snow sled; she would always Say " don't you leave this door yard, with out your snowshoes!" Back then they commonly broke down and you had to walk home!

Great posts E. I have some old pictures of my Grandpa out on the Scorpions of the day around upstate NY.. It was the first engine I ever rebuilt and man I used to run that old Scorpion 400!

I remember the old Scorpions, gosh they were like spaceships, compared to what we had!!!!!
