Hi all,

Does anyone have any experience loading the ABLR in a 30-06? I found a good deal for some 190s and am debating trying them out. I'm a little worried about my gun being able to stabilize that heavy of a bullet. I have a 1 in 11 inch twist barrel which is the minimum recommended per Nosler. The barrel twist calcs all say it'll work but just curious if any has any real world experience.

Thanks in advance!

Smoothie I've not shot it but Im interested in this combo for my own 30-06.

I'd be very surprised if it didn't stabilise. 2700fps should be doable even in a 22" barrel and that decent speed should assist. You hear of people shooting 215g Bergers successfully in 308 Winchesters with 1-12 twists...

They should hold their energy nicely for long shots. Would love to hear how you go.

I am getting 2768 with 54.3gr of RL-17 with mine. I think they are shooting great.
I am shooting a savage 110 with a factory 22 inch barrel.

Thanks Stetson. I have a good hoard of R17 so I'll work up and see how it goes.

I load around 56g of R17 with 180 grainers so that gerries with your data.
