Gotta be the shawn Carlock 7mm allen mag with 160 AB;s?

JD its my 7mm Allen Mag, basicly a 7mm/338 lapua imp. the brainchild of kirby Allen of Allen Precision Shooting of ft. shaw Mt.
Its a LH 700, trued and accurised, with a 30" 9 twist #8 fluted lilja and holland QD brake, it all sets in a richards thumhole varminter in black laminate, other goodies include a badger DBM, recoil lug, and extractor. its guided by a loopy 6.5x20x50 mark 4, M1/TMR in burris ETR's on ken ferrel 20 MOA bases. the load consists of formed lapua 338LM cases, fed. 215's, 110 gr of WC872, behind a 160 AccuBond that runs at 3575 fps mv, absolutely the best shooting, best temperamented, rifle I've ever had in my hands.
you all are prolly tired of this pic but its the only one I have since installing the loopy

the promised AccuBond exit pic
lastday08004.jpg

this is typical of accubonds from what I've saw, I've shot the 110 .257's and the 160 .284's at MV's of 3140 and 3575 fps respectively

I used my 270WSM with 140 AB's (Winchester Factory Load) and it did an admirable job on an elk and mule deer. The elk was shot twice. One botched shot at the neck and another behind the shoulder. The shot behind the shoulder anchored him. They were both under 40 yards. The Mule deer was shot at 250 yards. I was above him and he was quartering very hard away from me. I shot through his back to the left of his spine and the bullet exited under the neck. I thought I had missed the deer as it ran straight back down hill, looking apparently untouched. Well, once we got down there, I found a drop of blood and some hair. Followed that down the hill for 30 yards. Well the deer had smacked straight into a tree and dropped. It was kind of cool because there was a fountain of blood (3/4 inch in diameter) flowing out of the deer hike a garden hose was on.

Overall, I was very impressed with the AccuBond. I like bigger for elk, but the 270 is really all you need if you shoot it well. A bad shot won't make any bullet work. Scotty
