I had that issue before. I contacted Nosler and they asked for some pictures and lot numbers on 3-4 boxes of Ballistic Tips where the tips fell out. I emailed Nosler along with some pictures. Nosler investigated the lot numbers and mentioned that those bullets were so old and sent me a replacement of 5 boxes. I suggest you contact Nosler and they should help you out.Anyone here had Accubonds come apart in the box? I found 3 that the tip had separated from the bullet and one fell off while handling it. It makes me skeptical when thinking about loading the remaining bullets. Thoughts?
Looking at the box that's definitely and older box.Anyone here had Accubonds come apart in the box? I found 3 that the tip had separated from the bullet and one fell off while handling it. It makes me skeptical when thinking about loading the remaining bullets. Thoughts?
That would explain the dark discoloration around plastic tip.Nosler had an issue several years ago with the flux used in the bonding process, it was corrosive and deteriorated the polycarbonate tips. As already mentioned, reach out to Nosler Customer Service and provide them with the lot numbers. They will make it right with you.

if you lightly push on the other bullet tips , the faulty ones will break off fairly easy . I'd keep them for getting a scope on paper , fouling the BBL , fire forming brass , ETC . . I don't throw anything away , there is always a use for these inferior components . the good ones , use as normal . I've shot the damaged ones at 100 yards and didn't see any differenceI sent pictures and they replied the bullets were 20 yrs old. They are sending a replacement box.
