Just wondering what velocities your getting with a 20" barrel using LVR powder. And mainly with the 200gr Rem CLRN and the 220gr Speer HC.

I am hearing 2200fps is very posible with the 220gr but not sure if the 200gr CLRN beats that or just matches it in a 20" barrel.

List any information you have even for the Flex tip 200gr witch is long like the 220gr ( Same B.C. )

At 2200fps the 220gr is a super big game bullet but the 200gr corelokt has superior expantion charictoristics for deer hunting. The thing about LVR is its lower pressure. Cases last for ever and I toss my +P 2180fps/200gr loaded brass after 3 loadings just to be safe.

My barrel is 18.5" and ported but 2180fps was easy to reach with H4895. The Bufalo Bore 220gr only went 2050fps in my gun and thats too slow for proper expantion on deer. The 200gr CLRN has blown clear through deer and pigs. An actual 220gr at 2200fps is perfect for bear/elk/moose out to about 125 yards.

I get an honest 2290 with the 200 grain CLRN bullet with LVR, CCIBR2, and WW cases. It is also really accurate in my Marlin. Not sure if the barrel is 20 or 22" though.

Thanks, I hear you actual get higher than listed velocity with LVR. I known the 220gr will do 2200fps but its the 200gr CLRN that works so well and has that short length too.

With H4895 my shorter barrel was not hampered much say 20 fps less than a 20" barrel. I bet I can reach 2200fps thu my best groups have been between 2140 and 2170fps. Its cases that will last and last is what I need with the performance I am used too.

I wonder what a model 7 bolt with a 21-22" barrel could do? Even if its the same 2300fps but without pressure thats pretty good and may be 2250fps with the 220gr and then there is the Hawk 200 & 225gr bullets Hum.

Don't have any actual experience loading my .35Rem with LVR. However, if you have any access to H335 try it. It is extremely accurate and produces really good velocity in my 20" barrel M336. I am getting an honest 2380 fps using a stout charge of H335 and SPEER 180grs FP without any pressure signs.

Your at the same pressure range as my +P load are which should still be 10% under 30-30win pressures. I have tried H322 but can't get the 2300-2400fps that the 20" barrels get with it or 335.

LVR doesn't produce as well with the 180gr as it dos with the 200gr and better yet with the 220gr bullets. The 180gr needs to be over 2300fps to work at its best while the 200gr clrn expands great at anything above 2000fps and at a MV of 2200fps it expand well at 200 yards too.
I know you can't get enough LVR in a 35rem case to harm it and I expect most are loading it to 100% load dencity as they do with the long shanked 200gr FXT and 220gr Speer.
