Alcan large rifle primers?

Anyone have any experience with these? They were included in a box of reloading supplies that belonged to my uncle. I'm sure they date back to the 70's, at least. Are they worth saving, or should I just toss them? Assuming they were stored correctly, were they a quality primer to begin with? How do they compare with modern CCI, Federal, etc.?

Alcan Magnum Large Rifle Primers

I picked these up at an Estate auction. I believe they are even older than me. Packaging is still in new condition yet. I did load up some today and they fired 😁. Any of our older distinguished members know the history of these?
