Almost Over

My wife suggested that I fly to Grand Prairie and see if I can get a certain good Doctor to pick me up and take me the rest of the way to Dawson Creek !
Well enough said, I am praying for all the people on the forum who are struggling with health concerns my we all be healed by his hand.

Blessings,
Dan

Likely could be arranged, Dan. Another option is Fort Saint John, though I prefer GP for a variety of reasons.

Just finished a period with my legs elevated and heat. It does feel good after Dr. Mike's thermal treatment. Now for some Voltaren.

I hope the knees feel better real soon Dr. Mike.

I have a feeling those elk are gonna find out what the 9.3 feels like on the receiving end!!

Thanks, Pat. I'm certainly hoping that an elk will shortly discover what a 250 grain AB feels like when I invite her home for dinner. (y)

Doc.
Getting old sucks, thankfully my knees have held up. I can only immagine your frustration at having both go out on you, during hunting season to boot. Sounds like you have plenty of time to take a cow, we hope that works out for you. Intrigued by your choice of caliber/rifle. The 9.3 has always interested me and I look forward to the final report.
Stay safe, take care of your knees and good luck.
Don

Don,

I built the 9.3X64 because I could. My largest calibre at the time was a 35 Whelen, and I was intrigued by the cartridge. So far, all I've taken was a whitetail buck. At impact, he dropped--there was no hesitation. His legs splayed out and he was flattened. It is as close as one could get to a 375 (whether an H&H or a Ruger is immaterial) without actually loading a .375 bullet. Actually, it is a pleasure to shoot and it groups quite nicely.

Yeah, growing old ain't for cowards. However, it could be worse. I do intend to take a cow elk, and I do have some time to do so. Onward and upward.

It is getting better, Joel. Seems that I recall from somewhere in the dark recesses of my murky past, some stripe telling me that pain was just weakness leaving the body. I seem to have accumulated quite a bit of weakness over the past several years!
