Just noticed they had some round nose bullets where the hell they came from who knows but Hornady discontinued them so I grabbed 3 of them and 3 are left if they are Hornady this is your rare chance to get some.
 
I did some searching these could be federal power shocks. You can buy 7MM Mauser power shocks round nose ammo in 175 grain.
 
That was the first bullet that I used to load for my 7mm Remington Mag with IMR4831 in 1965. No chronograph in those days but I'm sure they weren't much stiffer than a good 30-06 load. A friend and I used that load to harvest a number of deer, bear, and elk.
 
They have some federal fusion bullets now at good prices after you factor 40% off.

I have some .270 bullets and ammo I bought years ago dirt cheap. Shot a deer with it they work well very accurate out of my Tikka but a Tikka seems to shoot anything accurate.
 
Those 62gr Fusion shoot great out of my 223 Rem. I got mine years ago from RMR.
