The same is true for a firearm in this bill that it must be in a locked case and unavailable to anyone in the car if the firearm can not be locked in a trunk. This means at 4WD vehicles and trucks.

Better make as many calls as you can. If this gets any kind of steam we could be in trouble.

I was told there is open on the back end that if passed Feinstain could slap her ban every gun and anything that looks like a gun on the tale end of this. She can actually put that on after this would pass....

Ssssssooooooo

Get those phones busy, do what you need to do. Let's not let anything get passed.

And as a reminder for the 100th time...there are no black guns, no assault guns, just guns. Period. If they ban stuff that doesn't impact you today, at some point, on some day, IT WILL.

Washington's ex Governor has already forced a sales tax on every gun bought online, plus the dealer charge for running the FBI check. That tax needs to be repealed, if it is on guns only.

Talk about asinine!
Enforce the laws we already have and add one little kicker....institute capital punishment by death for habitual offenders, serial killers, 1st degree murderers and terrorist. Even the sickos and half wacked crazies will think twice if they know they will die as a result of their crimes.
And just for good measure, this should also apply to all crooked politicians too.

Nope! can't do that. They have rights unlike the rest of WE THE PEOPLE. Phone calls and letters just ain't gonna cut it. Total confiscation is their true goal. Might as well reconcile to that fact that we may sometime down the road have to either turn 'em all in Mr. and Mrs. America or use 'em to keep from losin' them. To all the blind blissninnies like my ex-boss who kept saying, "It'll never happen here." Guess what. It's happening. :x It really pains me to have to say that but that's the reality of the situation. Voting won't do it. Look how they cooked the books to get that Kenyan a second term. DHS didn't but all that ammo, those guns and armored vehicles to guard the border. They want all thse undocumented democrats. I pray every night that a solution could be found so thatsomething really bad doesn't come about. So far, I haven't found the answer.

Politicians, even those who ostensibly are on the side of reason, simply can't leave well enough alone. They feel they must justify their existence.

My email to Toomey:
"The Second Amendment Rights Protection Act" is a purposely deceitful label for something that infringes on the right. Locking ammunition away from the arm makes the ability to bear it effectively impossible, and is an infringement. Don't try to sugar coat it otherwise.

Well said. Hope he receives an avalanche of communication directing him to think.

I read the whole bill. Unless I'm missing something, the ammo transportation part seems to apply to transporting a firearm and ammo through an area where it would otherwise be illegal I.E. New York or Chicago, etc. Maybe I'm wrong, there's a lot of jumbled up crap to read through.

What I find more disturbing is the application of NICS checks to any firearm mentioned in an internet group like this one. Say I talked about a rifle I own, somebody here commented on it and some day in the future we happen to meet up and I decide to sell that rifle to said individual not knowing he was the person I talked to on the board. I may be in violation and guilty of a felony. I hope this dies on the vine.

These guys, all being lawyers by trade can not design a law where they don't find them selves tied up by either unintended consequences or little glitches of language that cause trouble for everyone foreverafter.

Yes, if you read the entire bill is says something to the effect, that where otherwise illegal, an individual who is just passing through "Shall be entitled to:", and then add the rest of what's printed above.

In reality this is just a restatement of current federal law, so unless they add some penalties for the Cops, their Supervisors, and the DA's who illegally prosecute legal travels, this language is meaningless.

I propose they make it a felony for all the above reference to violate this section, with no qualified immunity and the following sentencing guidlines:

Arresting officer: Manditory minimun, 1 year in jail, up to 5 year.
Arresting officers Supervisor, Manditory minimum 2 years in jail up to 10 years.
Prosecutor: Manditory minimum 5 years in jail, up to 20 years in jail.

If we start putting a few cops and prosecutors in jail, them many they will begin to respect the Constitution.
