My first 22 mag!

Good for you, Fotis. Rimfires can be lots of fun and pretty addictive. Do you have any really accurate rifles in .22 LR?

SWEET!!! You are gonna enjoy that one! Honestly, I sold mine three years ago to pay some bills. doubled my money but still wasnt worth selling it! That round is just so much fun to shoot. Enough athourity to shoot paper at 100 yards and expect a decent group. Some folks pop coyotes with 'em. I wouldnt unless I was certain I could get a head shot. But for short range P-Dogs and general varmint control around the ranch you cant beat'em!! What model Savage is that? It needs a 3-9 VXII IMHO  Man I really miss my old Marlin.....LEt me know how it shoots...or maybe dont I'll start lookin again. "andrew" is the guru of all things 22 mag on the Marlin owners page some of us frequent. He can give you recomendations for ammo.... or just experiment yourself. CL

Yup my boys CS and my ruger 77/22. Both tackdrivers

It is the Savage 93 model....Will shoot it tomorrow,

Another rimfire in the safe is always a good thing. After you find the ammunition it likes, maybe we can convince you to post a few pictures.

You sure like your Savage rifles there Pop, can't blame you.

Corey

I really do.

The 22WMR in a Marlin bolt gun was my first rifle. I killed a ton of turkeys, woodchucks and squirrels with it. It still shoots pretty well. Needs a scope update, but it is a great rifle for varmints, and not too small for coyotes, or to 100 yards or so. Scotty
