Does anyone have a recommendation for an anti-fog coating or spray for rifle scope lens? I was hunting last week in northern New Mexico in 0-5 degree clear, cold weather. Came up on some elk at 40 yds. Knelt down to scope them but was breathing a little hard from the climb. Got a good look for about two seconds until my breathing clouded the scope. Didn't have anything cotton to wipe it with being dressed in all sorts of high tech polyester. Turned out OK in the end but would be pleased if someone has found something effective.

Thanks,
jd

You can go to your local drug store in the eyecare section and find anti-fog paste for prescription glasses. I use "Sight Savers" or "Magic Wipes" which are small wipes individually packaged. Some have alcohol some don't but more importantly, some have silicone and some don't. I stay away from the silicone stuff. If you have high dollar lenses on your scopes or binoculars, I would check with the manufacturer prior to use.

I hunt in anextremely sandy environment and I use a squirt bottle with water and clean my lenses every evening in my trailer. Alcohol cleans really good !!!!

Thanks guys! I'll give both a try. There's nothing more frustrating than planning a trip for months, executing a well thought out stalk, getting in position, and then being blinded at the moment of truth.
