anyone know anything about Vortex Viper 6.5-20x44 scopes

Vortex Viper 6.5-20x44 I saw online you could get these for 279.00 Just wondering if they are any good. I was thinking for my 264wm and with that magnification I could really get dialed in at 300 yrds. Or am I better off with my leupold 4-12 germ post #4 which I have on the gun rt now.

The Viper seems to be a good scope. I've shot quite a few of them on various rifles. One caveat, however. Recently, one of my compadres who works in a gun shop received a lot in which over 90% were shipped back because of failure to adjust the reticle properly. Vortex is excellent about making it right (they have a no questions asked/exchange at the store policy here in Canada). Still, the number of flawed scopes was worrisome.
