Thanks again. The Colonel will definitely be coming with me, but I'm considering bringing the Marlin 45/70 or maybe a 458 Socom AR for the thick stuff. I'm liking the look of those Beartooth Piledriver Jrs.

Paul, you must be really frustrated :evil:! We are lucky here in Saskatchewan as we get a regular season now that is Bulls & Cows. The farmers are very upset where we hunt cause the Elk herds do so much damage to their swathed Canola. They allow us access to most of their land in fact many have said if you only shoot one then don't come back :shock:.
I am sure looking forward to your NM hunt hope that there is a good story or 2 with lots of photos.
Wayne glad you are taking the Whelen on your Elk hunt I know that the 35 will do you proud !!
