ARTICLE on new BARNES plastic Tipped TSX

Thanx for the update Dixie.
Looks interesting. I think barnes opened up the HP to fit the tip on the TTSX so maybe their problems with expanding might go away. In my mind and experience this is the only problem the TSX was plagued with.

Great link Dixie. I have yet to use the TSX on game yet, but seeing as how I live in the great $-driven country of California where quick-to-jump politicians (with the aid of even quicker-to-jump tree-huggers) have banned the use of leaded bullets in my area, I plan to work on a load of TSXs. I have used the Federal factory TSX ammo & wasn't too satisfied with it so hopefully they're building a better bullet (at least until the E-tip available for my rifle).

I saw this same report and another bullet test on another forum.

Both these reports confirmed why I like the Partition so well. While it didn't rate first in expansion or penetration it showed the best balance, whith what I'd say were better than average performance in both catagories. Plus the expansion of the Barnes tipped bullet shown at 1900 fps was not very impressive to say the least. I've never tried Barnes bullets mainly becaues of cost, but after seeing this I'll probably never have to. For game animals larger than deer I'll choose the Partition every time.
