I was following a rather heated debate about the merits of "Ackley Improved" cartridges on another forum and remembered that my trusty Nosler manuals had data for several AI cartridges. In many cases they give pretty significant velocity improvements in like barrel lengths.
My question is whether Nosler uses the same max pressure for both sets of load data? Nosler #4 would say something in the lab load notes (sorely miss those in #5...hint hint!!!) that the AI was loaded to 'presures approprite to this class of cartridge'...
So are the .257 AI, .280 AI, 30-06 AI etc. loaded to the same peak pressures as their 'standard' counterparts? Are these pressures measures in piezo pressure barrels?
Thanks!
