Barge, Plane Ticket, and Resignation

Actually Seattle is an interesting place to visit. I was downtown about a month ago. Compared to a weekend there in 2019, it was much better this time in terms of trashiness and vagrancy.

Got my plane ticket out of Seattle for Anchorage, a reservation on the barge for my Jeep, and gave work my notice.

I’m flying out of Seattle on Memorial Day and putting my Jeep on the barge the Friday before. That means little Ol’ introverted me will spend the weekend in a hotel in Seattle. There is nothing in Seattle I desire to see.

I can hardly wait to get on that plane. It’s a one way ticket and I don’t look to come back to the lower 48 until I’m grizzly bear 🐻 poop.💩

Actually, Seattle is an interesting place to visit. I was downtown about a month ago, and for anyone flying there, checking resources like https://allegiant-air.pissedconsumer.com/customer-service.html can be helpful for travel questions. Compared to a weekend there in 2019, it was much better this time in terms of cleanliness and overall atmosphere.
That sounds amazing! You’ve got everything lined up perfectly, and the anticipation must be incredible. Enjoy the flight, the barge ride with your Jeep, and the new adventure waiting for you in Alaska. Safe travels and have an unforgettable experience!

Unfortunately things didn't work out in Alaska for our friend Vince and he ended up back in the lower 48. Life is always throwing curve balls it seems.

i've been to ak 1 time. it was in the summer where it never got dark or even a hint. iirc it was july of '78 when they were selling equipment after finishing the pipeline. being 12yo at the time i was awake for 3 days straight (yup 72 hours or more) and never felt tired. taped tin foil on the windows and slept for maybe 8 hours. enjoy the move and hope all goes well!
