Barrel length preference?

I am looking at getting a Crimson Carry II. What barrel length should I get? It will be for self-defense and casual target practice. Myself, I like the 4, not snubby and long enough for good accuracy and balance but still short and compact. What does the 4 inch shoot like?

I have a Kimber Tactical Pro II and IMHO, perfect size to handle, shoot and carry concealed.

I added a Crimson Trace grip and also bought a shortened safety.
Works well.
