My wife pulled a bear tag for the first season this year. We started the training sessions this week and the progress has been amazing.
Shooting her Nosler M48 Mountain Carbon 30 Nosler with 180 gr BT's at 3000 fps, shooting off a tripod at the target 65 yards away. Jogging from the target to the rifle to get breathing and heart rate up, loading a round and shooting as soon as the cross hairs are on target.
Sue has cut her group size in half from 3" to 1 1/2" and all her shots are kill shots!
Sue is really digging the 30 Nosler. She has put over 100 rounds through it. I think she is ready!

The training sessions paid off in spades for Sue as she took a 205 lb bear open day. The 30 Nosler 180 gr BT took out the heart and lungs and did the trick!

Congratulations to Sue on taking a bear on opening day. That is great, demonstrating that preparation was well worth the effort.
