Good luck Lou, hope you have a great time there the 375 will work of course but the 7mm RM must be screaming for it's first kill

That could change Gerry, my buddy gave me 2 full boxes of Remington Premier in 7mm RM loaded with 160gr Swift A-frames 8) ..if they shoot as good as the PT's, I'll use the 7mm RM on this hunt, gonna run 1 into some jugs next weekend, they should expand well, and penetrate deep. I'll keep ya posted :)

Lou, my youngest son and I have an interesting bear hunt planned for this year. No outfitter, just the two of us, a canoe.... A couple of rifles, bear tags and skinning knives... Am thinking we're going to have a great adventure even if we don't come across a bear in August!

Heck Guy that's just awesome my friend! ..I wish you and your son a safe and succesfull hunt

As for myself, I'm going solo on this Bear hunt, I well be hooking up with some other Canadians and Americans at the base camp, I'm not looking for a huge bear, but if I get the chance to pull the trigger on a nice one, it well be over pretty quick  ..the average size is about 200-250#, but some have been killed in and about the 400# range. Looking forward to Sept 1st.
Regards,Lou
