Black Yote

We had one great set Sat. morning at about 6:15 am with five yotes responding to the caller (Fox Pro FX5). This 30-35 pound female came right in to the Fox Pro at about 100 yards. My buddy BJ took her out with his Kimber 22-250. Bang-flop center punch!

What a trophy!! I want one really bad!! It is too bad it wasn't winter and full furred out.....

Personally, I would still have it mounted.....at least a pedestal mount.

We think this yote was one of a pack that killed five sheep on an adjoining farm. My buddy is going to get the yote in a full mount.

Nice shot and good work. Black coyote all over Mississippi and Louisiana especially south of I-20 to I-12 in Louisiana and all the way south to I-10 in Mississippi. South of Vicksburg Mississippi about 10 miles on the Big Black River we kill a black one that weighed 81 pounds he looked like a wolf and we call the state and a biologist took him and did some test and he was 100% genetically a coyote. Now that is big but the biologist said it was not the biggest coyote in Mississippi ever killed, the biggest weighed 95pounds.
