I got up early this a.m. and headed north to my one set wonder of a coyote ground. It was just starting to show some light in the east when I pulled up. In a hurry, I jumped out, put my warm clothing on and headed up the road to my spot to start calling.
It's been quite a while since I've taken my 22-250 out, but figured this was the day.
I no sooner than got to my spot, pulled the legs down on the harris bi-pod, flipped open the scope covers and .......... catch somehting moving out of the corner of my eye...... As I look over...... 3 yotes @ 40yds  I hadn't even had time to get my calls out of my pocket and lay down yet. Amazingly all three we in the only spot I couldn't take the shot because of the goose hunters / house in that direction. As I started to lay down, they busted me...... 2 ran behind me and one made the mistake ! He ran about 80yds out in front of me and put the brakes on long enough for me to put the dot from the 12X Leupy on him. A very light touch of the Canjar trigger and the 55gr BlitzKing was on its way. What a horrific sound when it connected  He was just starting to run again when I shot, so I caught him right in front of the hind quarters and about separated him.
I about felt cheated this a.m. due to everything happening so fast.
