I am wondering if Bore paste is very safe to use in your rifles? Will it hurt the barrel and will it get most of the copper fouling out, and what are your opinions on it? Thank you.

JB Bore Paste is great for removing copper fouling. A little bit will go a long ways.

hellllllll yea!

It won't hurt your barrel, but it also isn't the fastest way to get copper out. Try some bore foam for that. I use the paste to smooth a barrel.

So this stuff oughta be pretty good at cleaning the crud out of a Muzzle loader to huh?

The best thing that i have found to clean a ML is GM Top Engine Cleaner.
Give it a try , it works great.

...............I have used JB Bore Compound for 35+ years. It`s great. After I use the JB Compound, I then use the newer JB Bore Brite. You talk about a bore shine!!....... WOW!!

These products will not harm the bore or affect accuracy!

It is my understanding that Walt Berger used it for many years in his custom BR barrels. He refused to use bronze bore brushes.

If it is safe for Walt's BR guns then I'm sure it's safe for hunting rifles whether there factory or custom.

I use bore paste periodically in all of my barrels (mostly custom) and have never seen a reason to not continue that practice.

Well thank you guys for the info. I will be going to the store shortly and picking up some 200 grain accubonds, 208 grain A-Max and now some bore paste.(cant wait to try those accubonds) 8)
