How well do boresnakes work on in line muzzleloaders like the encore?

Does it clean in one pass and leave the bore shiny?

How often do you wash yours?

I havent used a boresnake in my Encore but I use the TC wet paches between each shot at the range and make sure i get it dried out good. In the field, if I have shot the rifle during the day, I swab it out using a bucked of creek water and then dry it out good and swab a thin coat of bore butter in it and load it back up if I still have a tag left.

I think bore snakes work their best after you have cleaned the barrel the normal way and you run the snake through to get all the left over stuff in the barrel out.
