I picked it up this week and I can't wait to try out some 100gr PT, 100gr TSX and maybe some 110AB's. I am waiting on a Timney to replace the factory trigger then I should be set. I have a set of Talley lightweights ready to go on it and a 4.5-14x40 VXIII. Does anyone recommend Retumbo for the .257? I know alot of people use RL22 and RL25 but Retumbo is a little slower. Also should I use a FL die or neck sizer? I am new to reloading any Weatherby cartridge.

Hey Pop, sounds like a real nice rig. Can't wait to see it and the targets.

I use RL25 in my submoa vanguard in 257 WBY with the 110 AccuBond. It was the first load I tried and it was accurate throughout the development. I went with wby brass, fed 215m primer 74.5 gr RL25, 110 AccuBond, oal of 3.250. I think I started out at about 71 grains. I get 3450-3500 from this combo in 24" bbl. I should note that I did not go any higher than 74.5 gr. Start lower and work up for your gun. I'm not sure how retumbo would do. Try it and see!
