Had to buy BR-2 primers yesterday instead of the Federal 210M's that I normally use. Has anyone used the BR-2's and how do they compare not only for velocity/pressure, but also consistency? Do I need to reduce any pet loads with them? Will be used in medium bore (.308 family) calibers.

I prefer BR2's...very consistent and not noticeably hotter than any others...you should be fine.

But if you have any doubts...drop a grain and work back up.

I switched to the BR-2 in my 22-250 because I ran out of GM210M primers.
My pet load with the 50 gr BT had consistently shot in the .5". The BR-2 improved accuracy, .3-.4".

Thanks guys, it sounds like I can use the same loads than. Almost out of ammo for my yote load (22-250) and was hoping I wouldn't have to go to the range to check POI and accuracy before heading out to North Dakota over the Christmas holiday.

Depends on the powder being used.

For Varget a milder primer like CCI Br2 works good like in the 308 Win

For Double base powder like Reloader 15 the Fed 210M which is a tad hotter works better for me.

IMR 4895 or 4064 tend to favor Fed 210M primers in the 308 Win.
