I'm having a rifle built for cross course shooting. Mostly for bench and prone target practice as well as long range steel. It will weigh about 10lbs finished with a 26" barrel. I may even compete with it if I can shoot as well as the rifle can. The recoil will be modest and I tend not to be recoil shy. Do you all think a brake would help for spotting my own shots? The gun is already being threaded for my suppressor ........just in case I want to use it. I think it would add on $100 for a brake which I could use or not.
Thanks,
Scott

Nathan,
I'm using a Bartlein sendaro profile cut at 26". Which diameter brake of yours should I use? Cost?
Pm me your mailing address so I can send you the $$s.
Thanks,
Scott

NRA across-the-course competition does not allow the use of muzzle brakes.

If that's what you're interested in.

I like a brake on any serious coyote/varmint rifle from 22-250 up. But, I like walking varminters, lightweight hunting rifles for that. I've had a few heavy rifles made up years back ( a 6mmRem and a 300WSM w/o a brake) heavy enough to see my shots. The 6.5 Creedmoor barrel I just ordered will have a brake put on it too just for that reason. Good luck to you.
