Browining 7mm update

Hey Teach, I just picked up a new Hawkeye 7RM off of gallery of guns for $558. I have not shot it yet, but if it shoots as well as my old tang safety M77 I will be happy.

That's a great deal.

The rifle is home and unpacked. Browning sent two targets. One using Federal 150gr SP and the other Federal 175gr SP. Both shot 1" groups at 50 yards. To me, with that info and my attempts to reload, I don't think this rifle is worth keeping around. Like I said earlier, my father-in-law stated, "it never did pattern well."

I plan on posting it on a local board to see if I can sell it. I'm thinking $650 with Leupold rings and base. Does sound fair???

Sounds fair to me. Which model a-bolt, how old, wood stock, BOSS or not? Sorry you got a 'patterner'. I'd sure like to see a chamber cast, showing the throat, etc. That's just me. Someone might pick it up soon, hope so!

It is a Medalion with a wood stock, no BOSS. Built in 1988 according to Browning. Metal is 98% and the wood has a few marks and one dent/scratch by front sling stud.
